Exciting News & Growth - A letter from the CEO

Exciting news and growth from negotiation training firm advantageSPRING

From the desk of advantageSPRING Founder & CEO, Natalie Reynolds

Welcome to the first of our new CEO blog series, my chance to keep you up to date with news and developments from our London HQ.

For the first post I wanted to take a step back to reflect on what a fabulous 2016 we have had so far at advantageSPRING…as well as giving you a sneak peek at some of the exciting things on the horizon for the rest of the year and into 2017.

Launch of We Have A Deal

After months of research and late nights writing (and re-writing!), ‘We Have a Deal: How to negotiate with Intelligence, Flexibility and Power’ was published in March. We had a fabulous launch event in central London hosted by our generous partners Mayer Brown International LLP. Over 150 people celebrated the launch of the book which has since been an Amazon bestseller and described by leading negotiation academic Linda Babcock as ‘providing the insight and tools you need to be confident, overcome resistance and get the deal you need’.

Global Book Tours

To celebrate the international publications of the book a series of events were held in New York and Hong Kong with a range of our corporate clients and partners. We reached over a thousand people in person at the events and hundreds more though dial-ins and webinar link-ups. In Hong Kong in March we ran book launch events with UBS, Morgan Stanley and MacQuarie as well as with our pro-bono partners in the region The Hong Kong Women's Foundation. In New York in June we ran sessions with JP Morgan Chase, Condon Forsyth and the Wall Street Women's Alliance as well as with our regional pro-bono partners UN Women.

New Negotiation Training Suite

In February we announced the launch of our new negotiation training suite as well as introducing our signature 5-step DEALS™ method. The refresh of existing programmes alongside new e-learning options and short courses means that advantageSPRING are market leaders in relation to flexibility and choice for corporate clients.

Pro-bono Programme

Our pro-bono programme has continued to develop with free of charge training and advisory activity carried out for our existing partners UN Women and the Hong Kong Women's Foundation as well as working with new organisations such as MedAir, Ambition First and GirlsTalkLondon.

advantageSPRING In The Press

Members of the advantageSPRING team have continued to be highly sought after as negotiation experts for media providers around the world. 2016 has so far seen us appearing in publications such as Forbes, the Guardian, the Independent, the Financial Times, Estates Gazette, Managing Partner magazine, Director magazine, Tax Advisor magazine, Health Services Journal, Self magazine and Stylist magazine. In addition to this we have been interviewed on CNBC, Radio 4, Radio 5 Live, LBC Radio and BBC News.

New Additions To The Team

It has been a pleasure to welcome a number of new additions to the team as well as celebrating the promotion of Devon Smiley to Head of the North America region. I am proud that our team continues to be comprised of recognised negotiation experts who bring a wealth of experience and diversity of insight to our clients.

And there’s more to come!

As we head into September stay tuned for some further announcements about further additions to the team, new training packages, events and an exciting new pro-bono partner in the US…
